Faith Presbyterian Church offers Christian Education opportunities for all of our disciples at Faith!  As Christians, encouraging others and ourselves along our faith journey is a commitment we make to our Lord.  Together, we can make a difference in the life of each person we touch, reach out to our youth, share the wisdom and excitement of His Word in Sunday school, or participate in a worship education program.  At any level of involvement, you will be providing a valuable service for the Lord while deepening your own faith.

The Christian Education Ministry Team offered and provided a variety of educational and spiritual growth opportunities to the body of Christ at Faith Presbyterian Church during 2008.

LOGOS mid-week ministry and High School small group enabled 45 youth and children to build relationships with Christ and others in the context of community.

Disciple Bible Studies and Small Groups are other ways spiritual growth and faith development were nurtured at Faith.

Church School was provided during the traditional school year as well as in the summer for children, youth, and adults.  Over 25 dedicated teachers provide learning opportunities each Sunday morning during the year.  They continue to provide leadership in the classroom.

Beach Party Vacation Bible School was held in June.  An evening format was tried this year.  In 2009, we will be looking for new ideas for VBS and how to increase participation.  The financial support of the Enduring Gifts of Faith enabled us to offer VBS free to the congregation and the community.

Teachers and graduates were recognized in May. Toddler and Third Grade Bibles were distributed in October.

We held a special all church Advent workshop  on November 30, prior to the "Hanging of the Greens" service.  Chrismons were made for the sanctuary tree and fellowship was had by all as we learned more about preparing for the birth of Christ during Advent.  December capped off with the preparation by our youth for the Family Christmas Eve Service.

Chris Roseland of Hanover College filled the pulpit on Theological Education Sunday in February.  A special offering was collected of which a portion was given to Hanover College and to our three seminary students.

"Taking Faith Home," a new bulletin insert, was made available each week as a way to encourage the discipline of personal and family devotions.

LifeKeys is a process to help you uncover your gifts, personality, values and passions-the person that God meant you to be.  You can find no path more fulfilling than the one that uses your unique gifts as God intended.

The Christian Education Ministry Team is looking forward to 2009 with eager anticipation!  We pray for a new year in which God will continue to bless us with many old and new opportunities for us to receive spiritual nourishmen!  As we move into 2009, we extend a warm invitation to all of you to "meet in the middle" on Sunday morning and to take advantage of the other ways you can grow in Christ at Faith!
