WORSHIP
Sundays: 9:00 A.M. and 11:00 A.M. We offer two weekly opportunities for worship, at 9:00 and 11:00 A.M. Coffee fellowship, an informal time of refreshments, follows each service. Worship at 9:00 A.M. is through our vibrant contemporary service called the Dawn. Dress is casual, music is contemporary, and worship is spiritually enriching. If you prefer traditional hymns and order of worship, join us for the 11:00 A.M. service. Worship is the heart of our Christian life together, as we praise the living God, hear God's word, and are prepared to serve Jesus Christ in the world. We hope that our worship services will be a joyful and meaningful experience for all who participate.
Quality child care is provided for our youngest children. Children through age three may be excused to the toddler room if you wish. Children four years through second grade are welcome in Junior Worship.
Large print materials and children's bulletins are available from an usher. Also, hearing asistance devices are available from the media booth.
Music We offer a variety of music ministries at Faith Presbyterian Church. Many church members offer their gifts in worship through the adult choir, a handbell choir, the men's ensemble, and the children's choir. We encourage individuals with musical talent to participate in the music program of our church. If you want to participate in our special music programs, please contact our Director of Music (click here to Contact Us).
Special Seasons During Advent, the season immediately preceding the celebration of Christmas, we annually gather for a special church school program and dinner, and we celebrate with worship on Christmas Eve. Also, special soup suppers are a traditional part of our schedule during Lent, the season immediately preceding Easter. We gather for special worship services during Lent on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday.
The Sacrament of Baptism and the Lord's Supper We celebrate the baptism of infants and adults as an outward sign of God's inward grace, uniting us with Christ and marking us as a part of God's family. Baptisms are administered upon request to all who wish to make a profession of faith in Jesus Christ and to all who wish to celebrate God's promise to their children. We celebrate the Lord's Supper once a month (usually on the second Sunday). All who believe in Jesus Christ and who have been baptized, no matter what their tradition, may participate in this sacrament. In the celebration of communion, we remember the sacrifice of Christ and gain strength from the meal together.
