Stephen Ministers are those church members who have undergone fifty-five hours of intensive training and who may be paired on a one-to-one basis with members of the church facing serious difficulties in their lives (e.g., grief, chronic or terminal illness, divorce, bankruptcy, job loss, and problems in aging). Stephen Ministry care receivers receive non-judgmental care by their Stephen Minister who has been trained in “listening” and respectfully honor confidentiality in each particular situation.
The Stephen Ministry at Faith , which sprang from our former “Caregiver Ministry,” is rooted in an International program for Christian denominations (headquartered in St. Louis MO). Our Stephen Leaders at Faith Church have received an additional week’s training to teach and manage the program.
A training class for new Stephen Ministers will begin in early 2010 – watch for specific dates on this site and in other church communications.
If a member of the church or someone in their family would benefit from having a Stephen Minister, or has questions about the Ministry, please contact one of our Pastors or the Stephen Leaders. Individuals may also contact their Deacon who will relay that query directly and confidentially. A Stephen Minister Leader will respond to your call within twenty-four hours.

You will be directed to the screen showing our church office's phone number and e-mail address. You can send an e-mail to the church and request that it be forwarded to the Deacons or contact the church by phone. |
